Is Patronus a chatbot?
Patronus is security software for your computer. You keep using your AI tools while Patronus reveals their use and Protect adds content and action checks.
How do Monitor and Protect differ?
Patronus Monitor is the free edition for discovering AI usage without interfering with requests. Patronus Protect is the paid full edition with security policies and content checks. Compare them under Product, and check Downloads & release for current availability.
Does Patronus meet every compliance obligation?
Patronus supports your work with visibility, controls and logs. Organizational and legal requirements depend on your use case. The AI Act check is a self-assessment, not a certification.
Does Patronus use an LLM to detect AI?
No. Detection works with signals from network traffic and with small, specialized classification models such as Wolf Defender. No prompt is sent to a language model, and Patronus does not generate text itself.
Does Patronus send my prompts to OpenAI or another provider?
No. The check runs on the device. Only what your rules allow goes to the AI tool you chose yourself. No content goes to Patronus.
Do I have to replace ChatGPT or Copilot with something else?
No. You keep using your tools as before. Patronus sits on the computer in front of them and makes the usage visible, Protect also checks content and actions.
